HELP! Please.

Hi all. I have a huge question to all my lady bloggers and male ones too if you have anything to add please do. A friend of mine just begged me to help her well more like organize her sisters bridal shower. I have never done one of these before. Baby showers, birthdays I have done and succeeded in but this is out of my league. I have already watched the Wedding planner for research but no help there great for planning on stealing the groom but that's about it. Anyways suggestion on games, prizes and fun food to serve would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for all the input.

OH, I am so the one to ask about this stuff!

One shower I went to there was a whole bunch of hubba bubba gum wrapped up. Then there was a list of like 30 things about the bride's fiance (ie: what size pants does he wear? What's his favorite color?) and for every answer she said wrong, she had to shove another honking piece of gum in her mouth. It was hilarious.

You can always get her to open her gifts with salad spoons.

Divide everyone in groups of 4, each group picking one "bride." Then have a race to see which team can create a beautiful gown and veil out of toilet paper the fastest. So one person stands there and is the "bride" model while the other 3 create a dress & veil.

The other thing you can do is find someone locally who does Tupperware. You can have a bridal shower and have everyone bring money, put it in a big bucket and the bride gets to buy as much tupperware as she can with the cash. Tell people checks are also accepted. Every girl loves getting start up tupperware stuff. I think Lisa (she's on my links under "L's Boy") is a tupperware lady. I know she'd likely do a party for you if you want. I think you know her too.

As for food, don't do anything stressful or crazy. Just order a bunch of platters at Save-on. Like sandwiches, cheese and meat. Cut up some pickles, make a really nice punch and VOILA, it's done. Oh, and get a cake or something too. Fraser Ridge bakery has awesome cakes.

Hope this all helps.Keep us posted on how it goes.

Well... I was going to mention the "bride" model one. One shower I've been to changed it abit were the bride has to be the judge and pick which one is the best one to her style. There are so many different ways you can do that one.

Also, on the invitations ask the guests to bring along 2 of their favorite recipes (that either they can put on recipe cards or stress that recipe cards will be provided) Then while the bride is opening gifts place them in a recipe box and presto! another little gift to give the bride from EVERYONE at the party!

DON'T FORGET TO TAKE PICTURES!!

Also don't forget to attach all of the bows and ribbons from the gifts onto a pair of paper bowls to create a beautiful bra, or just one for a hat.

I was at a shower once where they divided the groups up to make the bride a wedding outfit out of TP. Each group created an article of clothing like bodice, skirt, hat/veil, shoes...

For food, M&M meats would have lots of appy type things, and their stuff is always good.

Good luck with the planning, I'm sure it'll be lotsa fun.
